Congratulations! You’ve made it 30, 60, 100 days without drinking! You feel amazing, powerful, rested, restored, and….terrified.
There is so much emphasis on not drinking and how to stop and support around taking a break, but, what happens when we have stopped? Where is the support and guidance to stay stopped? It reminds a bit of childbirth; we have childbirth classes, labor coaches and lots of support around the best ways to ensure a labor that is safe and manageable. But, what about after? How about a class for raising the baby? I remember feeling like there was a missing piece…all the emphasis was on having the baby, but as the youngest in my family I had zero experience raising a baby – that was the real challenge.
And so, in today’s episode, I share how I focus on the ‘after alcohol’ piece in my coaching. And I outline some practical steps to help you navigate what comes next.
