Ep 116: A Sober Evolution: How We Change

I wanted to take some time today to introduce myself, or re-introduce myself to all of you. As my business has evolved, I realize there are many of you who have jumped into the middle of my story while some of you have been here from the very beginning.

It struck me, as I was thinking about this, that we all have a ‘sober evolution’. Just as we evolve throughout our lives, we grow as aFree humans. And, being an entrepreneur in this space, my business has its own ‘evolution’. For some coaches and business owners in this sober space, they offer one thing. For me, I love to create new offers, try new things and think of new and creative ways to connect with all of you!

Here’s a quick look at the evolution of my business and my journey as a solo-preneur (more details in the podcast episode):
2015: Stopped drinking and enrolled Nutritional Therapy Association to earn my certification as an FNTP
2016: Began my health coaching business as Nourish Your Best Self
2019: Certified as a This Naked Mind Coach and began coaching in TNM programs
2020: Rebranded my business as The Sober Nutritionist
2021: Started The Sober Edge Podcast
2022: Created The SELF Experience program for women who have stopped drinking
2023: Launched “Stop Drinking in Your 50’s and Beyond” self-paced program.
Created The Sober Edge Book Club with co-host Sarah Showard. Hosted the first AF coaches Mastermind Weekend Retreat with partner Karolina Rzadkowloska
2024: Stay tuned: new offer coming exclusively for aFree business owners and coaches!

My personal evolution is closely tied to my sober evolution. You see, when I was drinking and over drinking, I was in survival mode like many of us. And that meant that part of my personal evolution was delayed, or ‘stunted’. Now, I have the opportunity to experience real emotions, embrace transformations and believe in myself! You may have heard people say “I am a better wife, mother, daughter, friend (fill in the blank) not that I am sober”. I believe it’s true; it’s certainly true for me!

If you are ready for your own ‘sober evolution’ I invite you to connect with me. Whether your next step is starting your aFree journey (Stop Drinking in Your 50’s and Beyond), exploring Nutrition (RESTART or 1:1 coaching), expanding your post-alcohol life (The SELF Experience) or joining a fun and lively community (The Sober Edge Book Club), there is a place for you!
