Ep 74: Is CBD Right For Me? with Jake Crossman and Richard Gibson

As a nutritionist, I have been interested in the use of CBD as a way to turn on, or tune into, our cannabinoid receptors. As an alcohol-freedom coach, I have been interested in how CBD might be effective in regulating our nervous system and lessen the dependency on alcohol in relaxation, sleep, etc. I recently connected with Jake Crossman, a nutritionist and the creator of a USA Medical, a brand of CBD and CBG products to help ‘empower individuals to take control of their health and reach their full potential through a unique blend of modern science and traditional wisdom.’

I invited Jake and his business partner Richard Gibson to join me on the podcast and tell us more about how CBD and CBG products interact with our body and the many potential benefits. We also have a candid conversation about the psycho-active properties of THC and the difference between CBD and THC. Jake shares that products are now available that have zero THC. You will hear in the podcast from Richard who shares that his use of CBG brought no sensation of a ‘buzz’ or ‘getting high’ experience. After learning more about these products and the effect on the nervous system, (CBD) and the potential to impact our inflammatory response (CBG) I am intrigued about how this might add one more tool to our AF toolbox!

On the podcast, Jake and I discuss:

  • Hemp vs. Cannabis
  • Our human endocannabinoid system
  • The ‘text’ message connection
  • The new research on the effects of CBD
  • Richard shares his experience with pain and inflammation and CBG
  • The importance of lab testing for quality control
  • Why you don’t need the THC

Jake Crossman, is a certified holistic nutritionist (CNC-NASM) with over 1 million social media followers across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube – he is also the managing director of USA Medical. Jake specializes in simple holistic wellness practices that can radically transform your overall mental and physical health and the best holistic supplements for pain, inflammation, anxiety, and stress. He is excited to be on the show alongside his operations manager Richard Gibson.
