Flow State: What I’m Learning About Ease, Rest & Alignment

Hey friends,

This week’s episode of The Sober Edge is a little different. It’s just me—no guests, no script—just an honest conversation and a life update. You might know that my word of the year is flow. And wow, has that word been showing up in unexpected ways.

Over the past few months, I’ve been moving through a season that felt… offbeat. Like my rhythm was off, my capacity was stretched, and the idea of flow felt both desirable and elusive. Maybe you’ve been there too?

So, I took a pause. A breath. And I started paying attention. Noticing when I was rushing. Noticing when I was people-pleasing. Noticing when I was pushing instead of flowing.

This episode is about that process:
🌿 The recognition
🌿 The most important questions
🌿 The reminder that we don’t need to earn rest
🌿 And that catching our rhythm again is not a failure—it’s a triumph

I also talk about the myth of balance (spoiler: it’s not a finish line, it’s a feeling that comes and goes). And I reflect on how this alcohol-free life has given me the clarity and courage to actually listen to what I need—not what I should be doing.
