Episode 73 Menopause, Burnout & Alcohol with Dr. Annie Savage

The Doctor is In The House! I am pleased to introduce you to Dr. Annie Savage. Annie specializes in women’s health and is know as the period doctor. Today we talk about the importance of hormones and women’s health, and the myth of ‘suffering through’ our period and menopause symptoms.  Dr. Annie shares how we can go from hating our body to trusting our body and why ‘watching’ is not ‘doing’. Annie also shares her 4 pillars of women’s health and her own sober dating experiences. Dr. Savage also answers the very important question: “how do I know I haven’t done permanent damage to my body by drinking so much for so long?”.

We also discuss:

  • How women miss the “I’m stressed” and go straight to multiple symptoms
  • Authentic Dating
  • What is the state of our hormones?
  • What you need to know about liver health and hormones
  • Why so many of us are angry with our bodies when we get sick, or have health issues
  • Getting back to trusting our bodies
  • Watching is NOT doing
  • 4 pillars of health:
    • Digestion
    • Nutrition
    • Hormones
    • Lifestyle

Dr. Annie Savage is a naturopathic doctor with a focus on women’s health. She helps women heal their digestion, balance their hormones and live without the most common hormonal symptoms. She is the co-founder of The Symptom Free Period System, an online program for women to achieve hormone balance.
